About The Position

We are seeking a Utility Operator on First Shift, (7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday - Friday, with weekends per business need) where you will provide critical support across multiple production areas. You will act as a relief for line operators during breaks, drive a forklift as needed, and assist with a variety of tasks to keep operations running safely and efficiently. You will also act as the Lead, Machine Operator, when the Lead is busy. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning different processes and working in a fast‑paced manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to visually concentrate and listen attentively for extended periods
  • Ability to grasp and manipulate a variety of packaging components (sprayers, bottles, caps, etc.)
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as cooperate effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to assist in other areas as assigned and to work overtime when required
  • Ability to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, and reach consistently for an 8‑hour (or longer) shift
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs on a regular basis
  • Comfortable working in a non‑temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, high noise levels, and a variety of chemicals and chemical products while wearing required PPE
  • Must be able to work in accordance with all Health & Safety and GMP regulations

Responsibilities

  • Act as a relief operator during breaks and absences, stepping into assigned production or packaging roles to maintain line uptime.
  • Act as a Lead, Machine Operator, when the Lead is absent or unavailable.
  • Train associates on company policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate a forklift (once certified) to move materials, components, and finished goods as directed.
  • Assist with line changeovers, material staging, packing, housekeeping, or other production support tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in your immediate work area, promptly addressing or reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Standards, and all plant policies and procedures.
