About The Position

The Utility Operator performs general repairs and routine maintenance on equipment. This role involves welding and fabricating parts as needed, completing documentation of service work, and filling in for Plant Operators or Loader Operators when regular staff are unavailable. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, ensuring work activities are conducted safely, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

3+ years experience in aggregates or similar industry, required
Has the ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization
Able to read and understand basic reports, and complete routine mathematics
Has working knowledge of various types of welding processes (sheet metal, ironwork etc.)
Has working knowledge of various types of construction equipment and machines

Responsibilities

Makes general repairs to equipment, as required
Performs routine maintenance on equipment, as required
Welds and fabricates parts as needed to facilitate repairs
Completes all required documentation of service work performed
Fills in for the Plant Operator or Loader Operator when regular staff are out
Follows all company policies and procedures in accordance with guidelines established by Arcosa management
Ensure that all work activities are conducted in a safe manner
Other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned
