About The Position

The Utility Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining BSA and IMS machines to meet production safety and quality standards. This role involves understanding and performing troubleshooting, participating in training for colleagues and temporary staff, and conducting preventative maintenance. The operator will also communicate daily with their team leader and colleagues.

Requirements

Must be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 30 lbs.
Must fill out all paperwork completely as required.

Must train and be capable of running all machines as instructed (i.e., Dec Machine, BSA, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain BSA and IMS machines to production safety and quality standards.
Understand and perform troubleshooting as required.
Participate in the training of colleagues and temporary workforce.
Perform preventative maintenance as required.
Communicate with team leader and colleagues daily.
Run machines and perform setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting as required.
Train and be capable of running all machines as instructed (i.e., Dec Machine, BSA, etc.).
Perform all material handling related functions.
Load and remove parts from machines.
Communicate in a timely manner to team leaders and mechanics.
Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 30 lbs.
Perform repetitive operations following standard methods or direct instructions requiring the use of some judgment in detecting and clearing misloaded parts.
Be alert to detect and remove defective material and follow SDN work instructions for non-conforming material.
Ensure a constant flow of components as necessary to run machines.
Report unusual conditions or faulty operations to proper supervision in a timely manner.
Fill out all paperwork completely as required.
Other duties as assigned by team leader and/or superintendent.
Any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
