About The Position
A to Z Machine Company is looking for a Utility Operator to support a variety of functions throughout their machine and production shops. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and likes having something different to do each day. It offers an opportunity to build manufacturing skills, cross-train in different areas, and become an important part of the team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn forklift, crane & equipment operation
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Blueprint reading experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support various machine shop and production operations
- Assist with truck driving, loading/unloading, and material handling
- Support shipping & receiving activities
- Assemble parts using bolts, clips, screws, and other fasteners
- Perform basic inspection of finished assemblies
- Polish, saw, grind, and deburr parts
- Learn to read blueprints and efficiently assemble/disassemble parts
- Train to safely operate forklifts, cranes, and company vehicles
- Follow 5S, ISO/quality, and safety procedures
