About The Position

Under the direction of the Operations Team Lead, the Utility Operator is responsible for supporting production and performing general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This role involves working with highly automated systems, managing recycling streams, cleaning equipment, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, loud industrial environment.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Ability to read and interpret written documentation.
Must be team oriented with high energy and initiative.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates attention to detail.
Proven problem-solving experience.
Ability to operate a computer.
Must adhere to and support the Trivium Code of Conduct.
Ability to operate and/or work around highly automated industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Ability to complete safety, quality and production documentation as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to changing initiatives.
Mechanical aptitude to fulfill essential duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
Team member must be punctual and reliable.
Fork truck and floor scrubber certified.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety policies and practices and participate in the plant Safety Program.
Maintain a safe work environment for self and all team members and equipment through daily 5S, housekeeping activities, vehicle safety checks and report all unsafe acts or conditions.
Provide accurate reporting of safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
Work with team members to make recommendations for process improvements.
Operate and/or work around highly automated systems including robotic equipment.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and housekeeping tasks on the bailer and receiving dock.
Manage recycling streams for 2-Piece and 3-Piece departments to include generating BOLs for scrap pickups as needed.
Clean a variety of machines and equipment, ranging from large stationary equipment to small mobile equipment.
Ensure coils are unwrapped and ready to be consumed for the 2-Piece department.
Complete general plant housekeeping as needed to include operating the floor scrubber.
Perform production put away of finished goods as needed.
