The Utility Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting various machines and equipment to produce a good quality product. This includes tasks such as inspecting, gauging, counting, deburring, grinding, drilling, tapping, painting, boxing, chamfering, thread cutting, and thread rolling. The operator must be able to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets, use measuring tools like calipers and gages, and perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) as required. Additionally, the role involves making visual inspections, separating parts, recording production and scrap data, maintaining production records, and ensuring machines, equipment, and the work area are kept clean and orderly. The operator is required to furnish their own hand tools.
