About The Position
We're currently hiring for Utility Meter Readers in Tampa, FL! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! All of our meter readers are provided with a company vehicle, fuel card, and a competitive benefit package. Earning potential to earn over $19/hour through our piece rate depending on the amount of meters read!
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving record
- Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles a day in all weather conditions
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Attention to detail and accuracy to record meter data
- Ability to find locations/address by reading a map and handheld device and/or laptop.
- Ability to key data into handheld device and/or laptop.
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer skills helpful.
Responsibilities
- Reading and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing.
- Performing a visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.
