About The Position

We're currently hiring for a Full Time Temporary Meter Reader in the Salmon Arm, BC area! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, have a reliable vehicle and have a clean criminal and driving record. Position is expected to work until October.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
• Must have a clean criminal and driving record
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
• Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately
• Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters

Responsibilities

• Reading gas meters and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing.
• May perform visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.
