About The Position

The Utility Mechanic is responsible for carrying out the routine facility maintenance and repairs of such things as broken or burnt out lighting, relocating furniture, trash removal, grounds clean up, etc.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge and skill in techniques and procedures required for repair and maintenance of facilities requirements.
• Good communication, basic math, organizational and, decision-making skills required.
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an often fast-paced environment, and positively contribute to team working environment.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in a maintenance field required.

Nice To Haves

• Production related experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance including but not limited to: replacement of burnt bulbs, lighting fixtures, relocating furniture or office equipment, trash removal, cleaning of production area floor, grounds clean up, painting of facility walls, assist with replacement of doors, electrical wiring, etc as needed
• Maintain organized work area.
• Operate power tools and other required equipment in accordance to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Complete assigned repairs in a timely manner & according to Company standards.
• Notify supervisor of needed repairs or areas of maintenance concern.
• Other duties as assigned.
