About The Position

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance to help ensure safe and efficient building operations. The role also assists maintenance mechanics with routine troubleshooting and repairs at the TJ Maxx Distribution Center in Evansville.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher.
• Six months to one year of experience in a preventative maintenance capacity, with demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Flexibility to work with changing hours, demands, and priorities.

• Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on in-house systems, including conveyors, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, and vehicles.
• Assist with troubleshooting; lubricate, adjust, and replace parts.
• Perform maintenance services in two or more skill areas, such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, or heating.
• Perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Assist maintenance mechanics with major equipment repairs, electrical repairs, and installations in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Requisition new supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Perform special projects or duties as assigned.
