About The Position
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient building operations. Assist maintenance mechanics with routine troubleshooting and repairs. The position is at the TJ Maxx Distribution Center in Evansville.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or higher.
- Six months to one year of experience in a preventative maintenance capacity, with demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to be flexible with changing hours, demands, and priorities.

- Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on in-house systems, including conveyors, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, and vehicles.
- Assist with troubleshooting, and lubricate, adjust, and replace parts.
- Perform maintenance services in two or more skill areas, such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, and heating.
- Perform basic maintenance duties, which may include minor construction, landscaping, and cleaning.
- Assist maintenance mechanics with major equipment repairs, electrical repairs, and installations in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Requisition new supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Perform special projects or duties as assigned.
