This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma
Three years building maintenance experience.
Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined.
Valid driver’s license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned.
Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations.
Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Completes service requests in a timely manner.
Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs.
Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties.
Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance.
Repairs sheet rock and spackles.
Spot paints common areas such as lobbies, freight elevator lobbies, restrooms, etc.
Replaces ceiling tiles and performs other basic carpentry tasks.
Maintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities, including shops, boiler room, chiller room, electrical room, and mechanical rooms.
Paints equipment rooms and machinery.
Receives deliveries for projects and controls moving & delivery crew’s use of elevators.
Operates up to a 1-1/2-ton truck.
Performs any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.
Safely uses all types of related hand and power tools.
