About The Position

Set up and/or operate a variety of machinery including pallet jacks, boring machines, miter saws, slotter machines, profilers, tenoners, corner block machines, shapers, routers, trim/bore machines, bandsaws, spindle carvers, and block machines. This role also involves assisting in the offloading of this machinery. The operator will set up and operate machines according to production needs, examine frame tickets to determine required wood panels/parts and quantities, and select, install, align, and adjust necessary components like cutterheads, forms, and jigs to meet quality and tolerance standards. They will use hand tools for adjustments and measure shaped stock with rulers and tape measures to verify size and quantity. Some tasks may involve holding and pushing stock into cutterheads without mechanical aid. The position may also include other duties and special assignments as instructed.

Requirements

• Ability to set up and operate various woodworking machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting frame tickets.
• Skill in selecting, installing, aligning, and adjusting machine components.
• Ability to use hand tools for adjustments.
• Competence in measuring stock using rulers and tape measures.
• Ability to hold and push stock into cutterheads.
