We're seeking a Utility Locator to help protect underground water, sewer, and gas utilities by accurately locating and marking infrastructure before excavation and construction activities occur. This is an independent, field-based role ideal for someone who is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working outdoors.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read maps, drawings, and GIS information.
Proficiency with tablets, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Utility locating experience preferred.
Water/wastewater or utility operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Locate and mark underground utility lines using maps, GIS data, engineering drawings, and electronic locating equipment.
Interpret job tickets, blueprints, and service requests to plan daily work.
Document completed work and report field findings.
Verify utility information and communicate updates as needed.
Operate a company vehicle safely and professionally.
Work with homeowners, contractors, and utility representatives to ensure safe excavation practices.
Respond to routine and emergency locating requests, including occasional after-hours work.
