Full Time Utility Locator Technicians - OFFERING BONUSES
About The Position
We are currently hiring for Locator Technicians in the Grand Forks, ND area. Experienced Locators are preferred, but inexperienced candidates are also being considered. The starting wage ranges from $20-$26/hour depending on experience. We are offering bonuses for retention, experienced locator referrals, and sign-on bonuses for experienced locators. All field technicians are provided with safety gear, a military-grade computer device, a company-issued truck, and a company fuel card. We also offer comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401K, Life insurance, and short-term Disability, with full paid health insurance for singles.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters

Responsibilities
- Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.
