About The Position

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. This role is essential in communities, ensuring the dependability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems. Technicians perform high-quality utility marking to prevent damage during excavation of these vital facilities. The position utilizes the advanced LaunchPoint software system, incorporating the latest technology for efficiency. Starting wages range from $22.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check.
• High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
