To guide students around barriers for successful program completion. This is a 9-month position. Duties include demonstrating a thorough understanding of the subject matter, answering student questions, communicating course goals and expectations, assigning learning activities, speaking clearly, assisting students with guidance and registration, keeping accurate records of attendance and grades, providing up-to-date course outlines, keeping informed about instructional materials, administering examinations, maintaining classroom discipline, attending faculty meetings, meeting classes promptly and regularly, instructing classes effectively, requisitioning supplies, encouraging student attendance and motivation, reading professional publications, showing an active interest in the college's welfare, maintaining and posting office and class schedules, improving subject matter command through advanced study, utilizing library resources, providing leadership for in-service training, participating in professional organizations, participating in departmental meetings, serving as a sponsor and advisor for student clubs, serving on faculty committees, supporting college policies and programs, participating in recruiting efforts, submitting accreditation reports, and fulfilling other duties as assigned by the President.
