About The Position

The Laborer position is a career in the processing department at Bunge in Emporia, Kansas. The role supports vacation coverage for process operators once qualified to run areas and helps maintain good housekeeping. The shift follows a 28-day cycle with a four-employee crew and consists of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Employees must be willing and able to work overtime. Pay is $27.37 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
• Some mechanical background, including the ability to recognize signs of operational failure.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Involvement Plan.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.
• Follow all HACCP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and quality.
• Operate and control soybean processing equipment.
• Record data, secure samples, and perform necessary process control tests.
• Adjust and maintain operating parameters.
• Cross-train in all processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
