About The Position

As leaders in the utility industry concentrating on quality and safety, RECONN is looking for people to join our team who are problem solvers, take pride in public safety, and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment. This position is responsible for checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion. This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork/data are completed. Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the start of each shift. While on-site, the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (the form may be electronic or paper). Instructor-led training will be provided.

Requirements

• Proficient at using current technology; smartphone, tablet
• Must be able to communicate in an effective manner in a one-on-one setting and while addressing a group
• Ability to work long hours and weekends
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed)
• Must pass a drug screen
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
• Work well within a group, as well as individually
• Ability to use simple hand tools
• Ability to read utility maps
• Must have a reliable vehicle

• Outdoor experience preferred
