About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in energy systems, utilities documentation, infrastructure diagrams, technical document review, operational data interpretation, instruction-based task design, and structured evaluation. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on AI-assisted review of energy and utility-related documents, diagrams, and technical materials. Selected professionals will create complex evaluation tasks using utility records, infrastructure layouts, energy system documents, technical diagrams, and related visual materials, define clear expected answers, and develop objective rubrics for assessing response accuracy, instruction alignment, and domain understanding.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in energy, utilities, power systems, infrastructure operations, engineering support, technical documentation, field operations, or related review work
  • Strong ability to interpret utility records, energy system documents, infrastructure diagrams, equipment layouts, maps, tables, and technical materials
  • Comfort working with precise instructions, objective criteria, and structured evaluation standards
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain task expectations and review decisions clearly
  • High attention to detail when assessing accuracy, completeness, and instruction alignment
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
  • Consistency across repetitive, detail-oriented review and rubric-based evaluation tasks
  • Academic or professional background in energy systems, utilities, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, infrastructure operations, environmental engineering, facilities management, or a related field is highly relevant
  • Experience with utility documentation, energy infrastructure records, service diagrams, equipment schedules, operational reports, technical drawings, or field documentation may be especially valuable
  • Training or professional experience involving technical document review, infrastructure assessment, systems interpretation, operational workflows, or quality evaluation is relevant
  • Advanced field, technical, engineering, analytical, or project coordination experience in energy or utilities may support project fit depending on scope

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating assessment tasks, training materials, documentation standards, technical review guides, or structured evaluation rubrics
  • Familiarity with power distribution, utility infrastructure, energy assets, facilities systems, service layouts, or operations documentation
  • Experience reviewing diagrams, maps, tables, equipment records, technical drawings, maintenance documentation, or infrastructure-related datasets
  • Comfort identifying ambiguity, missing information, unsupported assumptions, technical inconsistencies, or interpretation errors
  • Strong ability to design objective criteria for evaluating complex energy, utility, or infrastructure-related reasoning tasks

Responsibilities

  • Create complex tasks based on utility infrastructure documents, energy system diagrams, service maps, operational records, equipment layouts, and technical documentation
  • Define clear ground-truth answers, acceptable response criteria, and objective evaluation standards
  • Develop prompts that test document interpretation, infrastructure reasoning, information extraction, technical accuracy, and careful instruction following
  • Ensure each task is clearly scoped, technically relevant, and suitable for structured review workflows
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses involving energy systems, utility infrastructure materials, diagrams, tables, maps, and technical documentation
  • Assess whether responses correctly interpret labels, symbols, measurements, equipment references, layouts, annotations, and document-specific instructions
  • Identify missing details, incorrect interpretations, unsupported assumptions, weak reasoning, or inconsistencies in the response
  • Review outputs against objective rubrics and project-specific quality standards
  • Develop clear rubrics that explain expected answers, grading criteria, and acceptable variations
  • Provide structured written feedback on task quality, response accuracy, and evaluation consistency
  • Apply detailed instructions carefully across energy, utilities, and infrastructure-related review tasks
  • Participate in onboarding, calibration, or domain alignment activities when required
