About The Position

This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability. This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental & vision), 401K, paid vacation, discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more. SUMMARY: This position would come in between 9am-11am depending on the hotel needs and depart 5pm-7pm. This person would be responsible for cleaning carpets in the hotel and other upkeep related tasks. This person will also need to assist with cleaning rooms in the evening when late checkouts are given, but also assisting Team Leads with projects during the day, as well as helping the Houseperson/Front Desk in busier times with guest requests.

Requirements

  • Must be able to walk, and stand for upwards of 8 hours, with flexible work hours.

  • Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience
  • Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written
  • Able to use different types of chemicals
  • Requires the ability to work independently and follow directions as assigned by supervisors

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned daily projects including but not limited too; Cleaning Carpets in rooms and on guest floors.
  • Stock assigned landings with linens, terry, supplies, and robes
  • Deliver requested items in a timely manner to both room attendants and guests
  • Strip 50-60 rooms per shift or as assigned
  • Complete all cleanliness projects on landings and guest floors as assigned by supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with room attendants in the section to ensure all needs are accomplished
  • Communicate effectively with the laundry department on required linen needs
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Assist with cleaning rooms in the evening when late checkouts are given
  • Assist Team Leads with projects during the day
  • Help the Houseperson/Front Desk in busier times with guest requests
  • Deliver both guest and associate requests with-in 15 minutes
