Utility Energy & Conservation Analyst 2
About The Position
This role supports the review, processing, and analyzation of reports and filings of electric and natural gas utilities, and energy industry stakeholders, to help ensure that utilities provide reliable service at a reasonable cost. It also contributes to evaluations of utility forecasting methods and the development of written materials for internal and external stakeholders. As a Utility Energy and Conservation Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties: Report Analysis: Examine utility filings and documents to help determine if services are adequate and reliable Forecast Review: Assess the methods and data used by electric utilities when creating load forecasts for regional planning Document Preparation: Prepare written orders, reports, and memos on topics related to the energy industry Team Collaboration: Work with staff across the Bureau to support reviews and decisions related to utility operations Industry Evaluation: Actively participate in meetings, webinars, and teleconferences related to the energy industry and review information from energy stakeholders to identify issues and trends that affect utility forecasts and performance.
Requirements
- One year as a Utility Energy and Conservation Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Energy Policy, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Physical Sciences, and two years of utility energy related experience
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
