About The Position
The Utility/Dishwasher helps create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas. The role maintains the cleanliness of restaurant surfaces and equipment, removes refuse, clears and resets dining tables as needed, and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning. It also involves washing dishes, pots, and pans by hand or using a dishwasher, cleaning equipment with specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards, and returning cleaned items to their proper storage places. The Utility/Dishwasher may assist guests with requests and communicate special needs to servers or supervisors. The role also includes moving supplies between storage and work areas, stocking and rotating food items, checking food temperatures, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is full-time, pays $15.25 per hour, and offers full benefits packages and opportunities for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
- Remove refuse to designated areas.
- Clear and reset dining tables between seatings as needed, and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans; wash them by hand or load them into a dishwasher; and return them to their proper storage place.
- Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; this may include using heavy equipment.
- Assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to a server or supervisor.
- Load and unload supply trucks, transferring items between storage and work areas.
- Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
