About The Position

This is a part-time Utility - Dishwasher position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and surrounding areas. The role involves washing dishes, maintaining equipment, performing general cleaning tasks, and assisting with operational duties. Safety and guest service are key components of this role.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly in English.

Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

Ability to stand for long stretches of time, bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms.
Medium work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to work long hours, some back-to-back shifts as needed.
Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
Near Vision – ability to see details at close range.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalency degree preferred.
Must be certified in the approved, on-premises responsible alcohol service program.

Responsibilities

Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, cups, glasses, flatware, kitchen items and equipment using dishwashers or by hand.
Stores clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas and workstations.
Sweeps and mops kitchen work areas and storage rooms throughout and at end of shift.
Maintains cleanliness of restaurant garbage receptacles, dumpster area, and boxes through shift.
Completes cleaning tasks within kitchen, storage areas and employee cafeteria.
Maintains interior and exterior cleanliness of ice machines and storage bins.
Cleans and mops kitchen at end of night and as required.
Collects garbage and breaks down boxes from back of house areas, employee cafeteria, and storage rooms.
Cleans indoor and outdoor garbage receptacles, dumpster and dumpster areas, carts, coolers, shelving, counters, and racks.
Cleans kitchen dishwashing machine by changing water and cleaning exterior / interior parts regularly throughout shift.
Stores cleaned dish items neatly, maintains organization of cutlery, plate wear, kitchen utensils, and misc. small wares on racks and shelving.
Assists cooks with prep work as needed for cooking or serving as needed.
Performs general cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of kitchen and employee cafeteria equipment.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are maintained as per local health department and OSHA.
Maintains all soap and paper towel dispensers at all kitchen and restaurant work stations.
Stocks supplies such as food, dishes, and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
Assists with accepting delivery items and storage of such items.
Communicates any repair needs, utilizes wet floor signs, alerts management of any safety hazards observed.
Completes tasks in a safe manner with proper use of tools and equipment.
Role models company guest service program and maintains professional interactions with guests and co-workers.
Communicates with management before punching out or going on breaks.
Manages time and tasks efficiently, remains active and available for management and associates.
Other duties as assigned.
