About The Position
TPC Southwind is seeking a part-time General Utility/Dishwasher to join their team. This role is primarily responsible for washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and properly storing them. The position also involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, dumpster areas, and employee areas. The General Utility/Dishwasher will assist cooks and the Executive Chef in food preparation and setting up/breaking down buffet tables. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of the Food & Beverage Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans and properly store them.
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in employee changing room/restrooms, back-of-the-house employee areas, elevator, dumpster, and receiving area.
- Empty trash cans from dish room, kitchen, and storeroom into appropriate receptacles, ensuring correct supervision for recyclable items.
- Remove empty boxes from kitchen and storage areas to the dumpster area.
- Keep equipment, floor, and work areas clean, free of slip, trip, and fall hazards, and in good working order.
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils according to local guidelines.
- Assist in the storing of grocery and supply items.
- Operate the dish machine, three-compartment sink, garbage disposer, and chemical dispensing systems.
- Notify supervisor of any malfunctions or low product levels for dish machine supplies.
- Assist cooks and the Executive Chef in food preparation.
- Set up and break down buffet tables and theme decorations, which may include ice displays.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
