The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. This role involves washing and storing dishes, pots, and other small wares; removing trash and cardboard; sweeping and mopping; breaking down and cleaning the dish machine; and performing other cleaning tasks as needed. The position requires understanding the testing and use of chemicals and cleaning supplies. It also involves following proper quality assurance and infection control procedures when working in the kitchen, demonstrating proper use, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment related to the area of responsibility, and helping to break down and put away freight. The Utility Dishroom Tech will communicate suggestions, concerns, problems, and unsafe conditions promptly to the appropriate supervisor or manager and exhibit professional courtesy toward patients, visitors, customers, and employees. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
