About The Position

Mining Americas Inc. is seeking a safety-driven, mechanically inclined Utility Crew operator to support operations across the surface mine and heap leach facilities at Pan Mine in Ely, Nevada. The role involves a range of labor, maintenance assistance, and process support tasks to help maintain safe, efficient, and continuous operations. The schedule is 10-hour days, and the position reports to the Utility Supervisor. Compensation is $28.28–$38.67 per hour, based on experience and skill level. Structured operator progression levels offer opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, clean driver's license.
• MSHA training or the ability to obtain it.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors in mining conditions and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor mining environment.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of experience operating a backhoe, skid steer, dozer, and/or 4,000-gallon water truck; telehandler experience is also mentioned as relevant.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily helper or labor assignments and assist departments as directed.
• Assist with completing pre-shift inspections.
• Move, bolt, and fuse 4- to 20-inch pipe at the leach pad.
• Assist with lifting spools and install drip lines.
• Communicate using radios and hand signals.
• Perform general physical labor activities.
• Sample, load, and deliver blast hole sample bags.
• Perform general cleanup and housekeeping duties as required.
• Use a variety of hand tools.
