About The Position

This position is a full contract for 240 days, with benefits as specified in the employee contract. The contract will be prorated based on the actual start date. Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
Ability to push/pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting.

Nice To Haves

Commercial / light industrial preferred.
Arkansas Pesticide Applicator License from the Arkansas State Plant board preferred.
Custodial experience preferred.
Lawn care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Repair playground equipment and school furniture.
Perform substitute custodial duties as requested by supervisor.
Use hand tools and power tools to landscape school yards (i.e., lawn mower, weed trimmer, chainsaw) and other equipment and duties as required.
Maintain equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Be available for occasional non-work-day emergencies.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Work overtime or after hours whenever needed.
Maintain emotional control under stress.
Work independently, sometimes with minimal supervision.
Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and district administration.
Maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty, administration, and community patrons.
Perform physical labor in hot and cold outdoor environments.
Climb up and down ladders of various heights.
Other duties as assigned by administration.
