This specific role is for a Utility Coordinator to join their Transportation team in Lexington, SC.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required.
Associate degree (or higher) in engineering or related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR if no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated
Can work well both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Familiar with SCDOT procedures and preferences for coordination of utility relocations
Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software
Familiar with utility providers of electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and sewer utility services in SC

Responsibilities

Coordinating with utility providers in relation to DOT transportation projects
Evaluating potential conflict points with existing utilities
Assist with the interpretation of highway construction plans, drainage layouts, specifications to identify utility impacts
Attend field meetings and site investigations as required
Effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments
Use computer-aided drafting and design software to develop and produce drawings
