Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid (State of Michigan) driver’s license
  • Ability to lift, load, and move items up to 25 pounds, bend and twist
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment and handle materials
  • Successful completion of a physical and job-related functional screening assessment

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves and distributes, claims, x-rays, mail, and other materials
  • Drives a company vehicle to collect mail from the local post office
  • Collects, sorts, and prepares outgoing mail
  • Collects and/or delivers mail and packages to/from designated work areas
  • Assembles, sorts, copies, logs, files, and retrieves materials
  • Screens documents for completeness, errors, and for appropriate information
  • Prepares incoming mail and organizes mail trays
  • Operates office equipment which may include personal computer, Omation letter opener, scanner, photocopier, calculator, personal computer, fax machine, etc.
  • Maintains related department records and files
