Utility Clerk
About The Position
Responsible for cleaning and picking up trash as well as other items for recycling in the warehouse. Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the warehouse and in the common areas of the facility. Handles miscellaneous manual labor, operates a steam cleaner to clean totes, and maintains the cement floor scrubber. Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked and maintains an orderly equipment and supply room. Reports to work on time and completes duties in a timely manner. Must be able to perform duties in a cooperative and capable manner, processing and communicating information effectively. All personnel are subject to cross-training based on Company needs.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, use hands to touch, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms.
- Must be able to walk.
- Must be able to talk or hear.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift 10, 25, and up to 50 pounds.
- Must have peripheral vision.
- Must regularly work in wet humid conditions, and in outdoor weather conditions.
- Must occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and near toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Must be able to report to work on time.
- Must be able to complete duties in a timely manner.
- Must be able to perform duties in a cooperative, capable manner.
- Must be able to process information effectively.
- Must be able to communicate information effectively as needed.

- Maintains a neat and orderly equipment and supply room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Reports to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, and complete duties in a timely manner.
- Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively.
- All personnel within this job description shall be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.
