About The Position
The Utility Clerk/Bagger position at Indiana Grocery Group in Lowell is primarily focused on providing prompt, efficient, and outstanding customer service. This role involves bagging customer purchases and offering carryout services. Key responsibilities also include managing shopping carts by gathering them from the parking lot and returning them to their proper location within the store. The Utility Clerk is responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, which includes cleaning up miscellaneous spills throughout the store, cleaning and stocking restrooms with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, and keeping bag racks full while returning overstock. Additional duties involve assisting customers, facing merchandise, answering calls for price checks, cleaning general shopping areas, and restocking back shop merchandise. The role requires physical activities such as climbing ladders/stair towers for restocking and cleaning, and working outdoors to clean the parking lot, collect, and retrieve carts.
