About The Position

Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Utility Assistant for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. The Utility Assistant provides essential support to the operations by performing various tasks including equipment operation and support in the following departments (Rewinding / Press / Extrusion / RSI / Finishing / Lamination and Material Handling (forklift). This role requires flexibility and the ability to perform multiple functions to ensure continuous production flow. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. This will be 12-hr night shift opening on a 3/2 rotating schedule from 7pm-7am: Sun/Wed/Thurs; Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.

Requirements

Demonstrated stable work history

Basic computer proficiency including email
Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools

Must be 18 years or older
Must pass pre-employment assessments

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience preferred
Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacks

Responsibilities

Operates and adjusts various machines during operator breaks to maintain production continuity
Prepares and stages materials for equipment operations
Ensures proper machine setup
Conducts routine safety inspections of equipment and work areas
Maintains cleanliness and organization of work environment
Monitors product quality and performs quality checks
Executes rework operations as needed to meet quality standards
Supports production team members in various capacities
Assists in material handling and inventory management
Maintains compliance with safety protocols and procedures
