This role ensures floors, equipment, and tableware are clean, safe, and ready for food service, while supporting staff and residents.

Requirements

Ability to work closely with others in a spirit of cooperation
Treat residents and the public with kindness, respect, and a cheerful manner
Identify with and promote the Mission and Philosophy of Garden Spot Village
Must work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
May be required to assist with special functions

Responsibilities

Work on the serving line as assigned
Operate dishwasher, record temperatures, and wash pots, pans, and other utensils used in food preparation
Sweep and mop floors
Remove trash, garbage, and recyclables from all cans, large and small, in dining venues and kitchens
Clean equipment and other department areas
Assess problems with dishwashing equipment and report promptly to the supervisor
Stock china and other supplies as needed
Pick up and break down soiled dish carts from café and lounge areas
Work cooperatively with food service staff and other departments
Attend in-service training programs for Dining Services employees
Observe proper food safety standards
Perform quality assurance duties as assigned
Collaborate with residents, resident representatives, and facility staff
Carry out other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor
Perform all duties efficiently, timely, and professionally
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
