About The Position

Riddle Village is seeking full-time and part-time Utility Aides to join its dining department at a lifecare retirement community. Under the supervision of the cook's supervisor, the Utility Aide cleans dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silverware by hand or machine; maintains the dishwasher by changing its water and cleaning it frequently; completes dish temperature logs; transports tableware to designated areas in the dining rooms and kitchen; and cleans work areas. The role may also include preparing fruits and vegetables for cooks, pushing carts into dining areas, and setting food on steam tables. Utility Aides remove garbage from kitchen areas and thoroughly sweep, mop, and hose down floors at the end of the evening shift. Requirements

• Follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Operate the dishwashing machine and other equipment required for the job.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, individually and as part of a team.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk short distances for most of the shift.
• Frequently stoop, reach, push, lift and carry, and stack supplies.
• Withstand temperature changes when entering and leaving refrigerated or freezer walk-in areas.

Responsibilities
