About The Position

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a Utilities Project Manager to make an impact and change how the world gets built. This role involves developing and delivering factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure, focusing on smarter, safer, and more sustainable methods. You will collaborate with a team of project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who combine real-world experience with digital innovation and AI to transform capital project execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 5 years’ experience in electrical utilities project management
  • Experience administering large dollar projects
  • Professional experience in electric transmission and substation construction projects
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Accenture requirements

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or be willing to obtain PMP within 1 year
  • Ability to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety policies
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and principles

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and accountable for overall project performance, including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation, for the most complex and high-risk projects.
  • Serve as the primary communicator with the sponsor and key stakeholders on all project issues.
  • Manage project finances, scope, cost, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Interface with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate all project requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and present project status updates to the Program Manager and the customer’s project management leadership.
  • Identify and secure the necessary project team resources to ensure successful execution.
  • Review contractor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope and terms.
  • Lead detailed, regularly scheduled project meetings and presentations to align teams and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong working relationships between the project manager, line managers, and team members assigned to the project.
  • Manage project costs and develop recovery plans when needed to stay within budget limits.
  • Ensure all project team members clearly understand their responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Coach and lead team members in developing task plans, spending plans, and communication plans that align with project goals.
