About The Position

Under direct supervision, responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility equipment in facility buildings to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Schedule: First 2-3 months, training from 8am-4pm on weekdays. After, you will be assigned a training shift (usually night - 4pm-12am) for about 3 months.

Requirements

• Knowledge of operating various machinery and tools (e.g. HVAC, steam and chilled water, air and vacuum systems, etc.) and ability to read blueprints or diagrams.
• Ability to exercise skilled independent judgment and problem solving in handling unexpected or emergency situations.
• Detailed oriented with the ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Texas driver's license is required - must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and repairs utility system equipment in the facilities.
• Maintains equipment history files and communicates building system status to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains heating and air conditioning equipment to include cleaning coils, replacing filters, trouble shooting control circuits and repairing pumps.
• Performs water testing, analysis, and documentation on utility systems.
• Responds to service calls, equipment alarms, fire alarm system alarms, elevator malfunctions, and any other calls for assistance.
• Performs minor plumbing and electrical maintenance on air conditioning equipment, building utility systems, and equipment related to the facilities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
