Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook knowledge.
Ability and willingness to interact professionally with clients and regulatory agencies under guidance.
Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid Florida driver’s license as driving is an essential part of the position.
Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification desired.
Relevant internships in civil or utility engineering desired.
Familiarity with projects in Southwest Florida is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist project managers with a variety of utility projects, including supporting client communication, tracking project schedules, and assisting with budget management.
Coordinate with CAD designers and collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and external agencies.
Support permit preparation by assisting permit technicians with applications and helping track permit review progress.
Participate in construction observations, assist with field documentation, and observe critical construction activities under supervision.
Communicate and coordinate with construction managers, contractors, owners, inspectors, and permitting agencies as part of the project team.
Prepare technical documentation such as reports, letters, project summaries, and professional correspondence.
Gain exposure to water and wastewater pipeline design, pump stations, hydraulic modeling, and/or treatment plant projects.
Work in both office and field environments as project needs require.
