About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier to serve a United States Postal Service mail route in Milam, Texas. The route starts on 11/14/2026. This is a full-time 1099 contractor role. The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle and delivers along an approximately 40-mile route, driving about 80 miles per day. Compensation is $300 per day, paid monthly.

The schedule is six days per week, Monday through Saturday, except federal holidays. The estimated work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., or approximately 10 hours per day.

Requirements

• Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in Milam, Texas, or a neighboring town or city.
• Provide a qualifying minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity, less than five years old, and minimum liability insurance.
• Provide your own vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
• A minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console is recommended for passenger-side mailbox delivery; the route may be difficult without this feature but is still possible.
• Availability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
• Load mail and parcels into the delivery vehicle in delivery sequence.
• Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
