About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Ranchos De Taos, NM. This is a full-time position, working 6 days a week, Monday through Saturdays, including some federal holidays. The estimated daily work hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with an estimated 6 hours or less per day. The contractor will be responsible for providing their own vehicle, which should be a Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than 5 years old. The daily driving distance is approximately 30 miles (15-mile delivery route). This is a 1099 contractor position, paid $170 per day, with payments made monthly.

Requirements

Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to lift 70 pounds
Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Ranchos De Taos, NM
Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance

Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans with 120 cubic feet of cargo space without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery
Must be available to start immediately

Responsibilities

Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
Other administrative duties are required
