About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier to serve a United States Postal Service mail route in Lower Lake, California. The route is scheduled to start on 11/20/2026. This is a full-time 1099 contractor role, scheduled six days per week, Monday through Saturday, including some federal holidays. The estimated schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for up to nine hours per day. The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle and travels approximately 50 miles per day, including a 25-mile delivery route. Compensation is $270 per day, paid monthly.

Requirements

• Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in Lower Lake, California, or a neighboring town or city.
• Provide a qualifying minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than five years old.
• Have minimum liability insurance.
• Provide your own vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
• Candidates with a minivan or cargo van offering 120 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console for passenger-side mailbox delivery are recommended; the route may be difficult without these features but is still possible.
• Be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
• Load mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
