About The Position

The Usher is a frontline representative at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches, the Spring Training home of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. The facility hosts Spring Training games and other sporting, community, and private events. Ushers assist guests with directions and information, help maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere, and support enjoyable guest experiences. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt role in a stadium setting.

Requirements

Reliability and commitment to meeting the work schedule and job requirements.
Ability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned game-day duties and report issues to a supervisor.
Welcome fans with a friendly, helpful attitude and assist them with information and directions.
Advise management of activities or concerns involving the property or the surrounding ballpark.
Review credentials and direct guests to the appropriate areas.
Assist guests exiting elevators and escalators.
Follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Stay alert to potential hazards, including foul balls, and report incidents.
Stay current on safety and security practices for people entering the ballpark.
Assist admission, guest services, and other departments as needed.
Provide access control to different areas of the facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
