About The Position

The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) is seeking dynamic, customer-service-oriented individuals to join their team as Part Time Ushers (Crowd Control). Under moderate supervision, Part Time Ushers greet guests, maintain order in assigned areas, and direct guests to designated parking areas. This is an event-related, part-time, year-round position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. A minimum number of hours is not guaranteed. Candidates must be available to work an average of 20 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate orally and deal effectively and diplomatically with the public, supervisors, and fellow employees.
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain availability to permit scheduling during weekdays, weekends, early mornings, and holidays as assigned.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
  • Ability to maintain order in assigned areas.
  • Ability to assist the public in locating seats.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes of providing customer service.
  • Must be available to work an average of 20 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Must provide documentation to establish both identity and work authorization.
  • Must provide a Social Security Card for payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain order in assigned areas.
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Direct guests to parking spaces.
  • Assist the public in locating seats or the event location.
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and event information.
  • Report unauthorized vehicles entering restricted areas.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
