Usher/Ticket Taker, Belleville Senators
About The Position
The Belleville Senators are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented professional to join our team as Usher / Ticket Taker. This is an excellent opportunity to join an NHL affiliate team which will allow the candidate to become fully engaged in the business of a professional sports team. As an Usher / Ticket Taker of the Belleville Senators Hockey Club you assume the role of guide, communicator, decision-maker, and promoter of positive experiences. You are frequently changing hats and finding solutions that will create fans for life. This is a part-time role based upon the organization’s needs which can include weekday, evening, and weekends shifts.
Requirements
- Displays a positive and outwardly friendly attitude
- Ability to listen, articulate ideas, and respond in an empathetic and clear manner to all guests
- Must be minimum 21 years old by start date
- Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to walk/stand for extended periods of time and comfortable with heights
- Able to walk up/down stairs multiple times each game to attend to assigned section
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Some basic knowledge of hockey and the AHL
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all guests receive extraordinary customer service by: Assisting with guest questions and/or needs
- Admitting those who possess the proper ticket or identification to the facilities
- Being responsible for ensuring that all customers adhere to the building policies and have great experience
- Monitoring guests’ alcohol consumption, and ensuring all guests maintain a state of sobriety
- Escorting guests in wheelchairs as needed, using elevators
