This is a telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. The User Experience Designer will assist in the planning, collection, and analysis of key data to uncover insights that inform design decisions, product decisions, and features. The role involves collaborating with engineers, product managers, and other design teams to plan and produce key IT enterprise products and processes. The position requires understanding and acting upon key data, including limitations, resourcing, capabilities, and performance requirements. The designer will work closely with the UX Research team, assisting in planning, executing, and analyzing usability tests with Red Hat products and processes. Utilization of relevant Agile methodologies and tooling (e.g., Jira) is expected. Building relationships and communicating with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders is crucial. The role involves advocating for access to and direct communication with end users to understand their pain points and needs regarding Red Hat's products and processes. Interaction with technical issues and reported bugs to improve products and user experiences is also a key responsibility. The designer will understand and socialize the user’s end-to-end journey to uncover opportunities for improvement and align with key industry standards around reporting, costs, and security needs to provide optimal user experiences.
