About The Position

At Autodesk, the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Platform Data team focuses on the future of how customers access, manage, and derive value from their data throughout the project and asset lifecycle. We design the APIs, services, and user interfaces that power Autodesk's data platform ecosystem and support critical AEC industry workflows. As a User Experience Designer, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, User Research, and Design teams to create intuitive, scalable, and connected platform experiences. You will contribute to the design of workflows and interfaces that enable customers and developers to interact with project and asset data across the Autodesk ecosystem. We are looking for a curious, collaborative individual eager to grow in technically complex environments, passionate about creating world-class platform experiences in complex and sometimes ambiguous technical contexts. Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in user experience, interaction design, product design, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing digital products, workflows, or interfaces for web, desktop, or platform-based applications.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and common UX methodologies.
  • Ability to create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and visual artifacts using industry-standard design tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in solving complex workflow and data-related design challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UX and interaction design achievements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing B2B, SaaS, or technically complex applications.
  • Familiarity with AEC workflows, BIM concepts, or Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Forma.
  • Experience with data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or platform ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting or participating in user research and usability testing.
  • Understanding of responsive design systems and accessibility best practices.
  • Interest in AI-supported tools, automation, or emerging platform technologies.
  • Experience in cross-functional product development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers to support the delivery of thoughtful user experiences from concept through implementation.
  • Design workflows, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes that clearly communicate interaction and visual design ideas to stakeholders and development teams.
  • Participate in user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions, to better understand customer needs and workflows.
  • Apply user-centered design methods to solve complex workflow and data management challenges.
  • Contribute to design critiques, brainstorming sessions, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration activities.
  • Help ensure alignment and consistency of platform experiences by using and enhancing Autodesk's design systems and standards.
  • Rapidly iterate on concepts and designs based on user feedback, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Communicate design rationale and effectively present work to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to improve the experiences and usability of products and services.
  • Stay informed about evolving UX trends, interfaces, AI-supported workflows, and emerging technologies relevant to platforms and data experiences.
