User Experience Designer II
About The Position
This role is responsible for researching, designing, prototyping, and testing design solutions for an e-commerce platform. The User Experience Designer II will translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and written documentation to communicate interface elements and interactions. This position provides elegant solutions to design problems that balance user goals with business requirements and technical limitations. The designer will work with cross-functional team members to promote designs that are both technically feasible and resource economical. They will analyze and leverage user research, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings to tailor interfaces to meet specific needs and objectives. The role requires reading, analyzing, and understanding documents that provide information used in the course of projects. The designer will manage time and schedule to meet and exceed project delivery commitments and maintain up-to-date expertise in goal-directed design and usability principles.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in positions focused on designing user experience for ecommerce required.
- Experience with ecommerce sites/platforms and understanding the needs and interactions of customers within those sites
- Experience in performing user research and usability testing
- Experience with industry related UX software like Axure and Sketch
- Experience in practical application of HTML 5 and CSS 3
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Bachelors Degree in a related field or related work experience
- Portfolio of printed or electronic samples demonstrating experience is required
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is preferred
