About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring a Used Work Tool Sales Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. This role is responsible for buying and selling attachments in accordance with Carter Machinery guidelines to achieve profitability goals and objectives. The specialist will also assist the Retail Sales Team in the administration of sales, trade-ins, and purchases of used work tools. The company is seeking candidates with prior experience in sales support, procurement, or project management.

Requirements

General knowledge of heavy equipment work tools and industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent sales and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to function well in a fast-paced and meet deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
Strong mechanical aptitude
Must have an excellent driving record
Frequent travel is required – overnight or out town via car or airplane

Nice To Haves

Heavy equipment knowledge, preferred
College degree in related field, preferred
