Requirements

Previous automotive technician experience required.

Ability to effectively diagnose and perform repairs independently.

Must successfully pass pre-employment background screening, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
Thoroughly inspect used vehicles for maintenance, safety concerns, and repair needs.
Test-drive vehicles and evaluate performance using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues accurately.
Identify repair recommendations and document findings clearly.
Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Complete manufacturer warranty repairs according to factory specifications when applicable.
Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards before vehicle delivery.
Work closely with Used Vehicle Service Advisors and management teams.
Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle conditions clearly and professionally.
Document repair procedures and inspection results accurately.
Maintain a productive and positive working relationship with technicians, advisors, and management.
Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
Help ensure customers receive reliable, fully reconditioned vehicles.
Maintain productivity while meeting dealership quality standards.
Contribute to a positive customer ownership experience through thorough vehicle preparation.
