About The Position

South Pointe Chevrolet is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive dealership growth. The ideal candidate is a proven automotive sales leader with strong coaching, leadership, and relationship-building skills. This role is responsible for overseeing daily sales operations, developing high-performing sales consultants, maximizing profitability, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery. The Sales Manager will play a key role in achieving sales targets, maintaining compliance with dealership standards, and fostering a positive, high-energy team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive sales leadership experience, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and implement effective business strategies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, dealership management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the dealership sales team to achieve and exceed individual and departmental sales goals.
  • Monitor daily sales activities, performance metrics, and key dealership objectives.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor sales consultants to improve product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and customer service skills.
  • Assist sales staff in qualifying customers, structuring deals, and closing sales opportunities.
  • Ensure all customers receive an exceptional and professional dealership experience.
  • Manage inventory presentation and collaborate with leadership to maintain appropriate vehicle inventory levels.
  • Review sales reports, forecasts, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with the Finance & Insurance team to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
